Current List of HabCat Stars with Planets
This is a selection of candidates stars from the HabCat database that are currently known to have planets. They are sorted by distance from Earth. Note that the list is based on more current observational data and some of the stars does not match the original habitability criteria of HabCat. This list is automatically generated by the Habitable Exoplanets Catalog (HEC) code and will be updated with new results as available. The original HabCat listed only 55 stars with planets on 2003. There are now 169 stars with planets in the database with a total of 227 planets and 53 of those in the habitable zone (mostly gas giants).
